Fold-back. A speaker with audio. Mainly used by singers on stage to here themselves plus the music. Or in a TV studio to hear VT’s or music.
Figure of Eight
Describes the polar response of a microphone that is equally sensitive both front and rear, yet rejects sounds coming from the sides.
Fishpole
series of usually carbon fibre tubes. With a microphone mount on one end. Used to boom in a microphone under or over the audio source.
Fist Microphone
Hand help dynamic microphone with a push to tall switch on the side. Used for talkback.
Flail
A 26-pin mil spec connector wired to 7 or 8 XLR’s using the standard OB pin out. A near end flail will be Male XLR’s to Female 26-pin. A far end flail will be Female XLR’s to Male 26-pin.
Full Duplex
2 way audio, (Bi-directional) all the time.

Effects. Background sound i.e. crowd and or players.
